Steve Sarkisian: Indefinite Leave of Absence, Clay Helton Takes Over as Interim Coach

Steve Sarkisian was sent home from USC’s practice today by Athletic Director Pat Haden. Sarkisian has been dealing with multiple personal issues that include substance abuse while juggling a high-profile and highly stressful job in the spotlight.
Am told by multiple sources Steve Sarkisian showed up in no condition to work today & #USC brass knows he needs serious help.

Suddenly, football seems insignificant.
While Sarkisian is seeking help, offensive coordinator Clay Helton will take over for him. Sarkisian is 18 games into his career at USC and has a record of 12-6.
The Trojans visit Notre Dame Saturday night.
