Lamar Odom Reportedly Conscious and Breathing

Lamar Odom has reportedly made some improvement today. The former NBA player “is conscious and breathing on his own in a Las Vegas hospital, and spoke a few words,” according to a report from ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. However, while the report says Odom doesn’t need a breathing tube anymore, he is still and critical condition and must wear a breathing mask. As Shelburne also notes, a source told her Thursday night that Odom was “not out of the woods yet.”

Another positive report emerged from an Entertainment Tonight reporter a couple hours earlier:

This is all better news for Odom, who by all accounts was a magnanimous and selfless teammate throughout his years in the NBA. Hopefully the apparent upward trajectory can continue.
