Jacob deGrom gave the New York Mets six gutty innings on Thursday night in a decisive Game 5 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The fire-balling righty rebounded from surrendering four straight hits in the opening frame to keep his team in the game. Daniel Murphy then delivered with his mind and body to propel the Mets to their first playoff series win since 2006.

Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen was asked what he saw from deGrom in the biggest start of the young hurler’s life. His answer was a tad risque, but also a dream come true for a New York tabloid front page editor’s dream.

Seems like everyone wearing blue and orange was feeling frisky.
