DeSean Jackson was dumped by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014, partially because Chip Kelly and the Eagles feared the receiver’s ties to gangs. Jackson denied the claims, and there have been no mentions of connections to gangs since.

Until now.

TMZ reports that Jackson’s California home was broken into this week by “four or five people” who had weapons. But when they broke into Jackson’s home in Tarzana, there were “roughly six people” inside. A fight ensued. Someone was pistol-whipped.

"One source connected to the situation tells us DeSean was not the target — it was someone staying inside the home. As for Jackson, he has DENIED being part of a gang in the past — but says some of his friends are in gangs."

Jackson was injured in the Redskins season opener and hasn’t played a game since. His final season in Philadelphia was his career best – 82 catches, 1,332 yards, nine TDs – and it just so happened to be Chip Kelly’s first. Jackson had a solid first season in Washington in 2014 – 56-1,169-6 TDs – but he turns 29 in a few weeks, and now he’s going to have to answer a new round of gang questions.

As if the Redskins didn’t have enough issues.
