One of the best things about your team advancing far in the playoffs is that sports talk radio starts to revolve around their positive exploits. Jerry Seinfeld is a longtime listener and caller of Steve Somers’ WFAN radio program, usually regarding the Mets. A few days ago, Seinfeld phoned in to say he approves of Matt Harvey starting Game 1 (and giving rest to Jacob deGrom).

“Where does the discomfort of Mike Francesa having to do four hours of Met calls a day rank in the scale of things we are enjoying?” Seinfeld asked. Somers dodged the question about his eminent colleague and changed the subject.
