Jonathan Quick is a tremendous goaltender, but sometimes he has to rely on the limits of technology. Last night with mere seconds remaining and the Los Angeles Kings clinging to a 1-goal lead, Quick made a great save on a Connor McDavid shot. Did the puck cross the line? Maybe! Without being able to see where the puck was in Quick’s glove, the NHL’s replay official couldn’t definitively prove that the puck crossed the line. So, no goal.

It totally was a goal though. McDavid got screwed! You give Connor McDavid this much empty net there’s no way he’s not putting a puck in there. There’s probably a Sports Science about it somewhere.
