Gus Johnson On Calling Soccer: "That Turned Out To Be A Disaster"

Fox Sports tried to make Gus Johnson the Voice of American Soccer ahead of the 2018 World Cup. It didn’t work out. Johnson made passing reference to it during the TCU vs. West Virginia broadcast, terming it a “disaster.”
“Disaster” may be a bit strong, but Johnson calling soccer was an ill-advised experiment from the start. FOX never put him in a position to be successful, to the detriment of him and everyone involved.
