The Dallas Cowboys lost Dez Bryant, then Tony Romo, then a bunch of games, Greg Hardy blew up on the sideline and … now running back joseph randle has gone AWOL from the team following a demotion on the depth chart.

Randle suffered a strained oblique during Sunday’s loss to the Giants, and as a result had to sit out practice this week. As Dallas was drawing up the depth chart for Sunday’s game against Seattle, Randle was listed below Darren McFadden, and reacted like many of his petulant teammates might: By bolting from the facility. It’s the latest in a long string of issues for Randle.

From the Star-Telegram:

"He has been rebuked by the coaches for being careless with the ball. Running backs coach Gary Brown and offensive line coach Frank Pollack had harsh words for him about it in a loss against the New Orleans Saints Oct. 4."

So a guy who was arrested twice in a 4-month span bridging 2014 and 2015, and has had some fumble issues, treats a demotion by going AWOL?

That’s a good way to get cut.

Darren McFadden rushed 29 times for 152 yards against the Giants.

[UPDATE: Perhaps this contributed to Randle bolting from the facility. “Randle met with NFL investigators this summer and within the past week, the NFL determined he violated the league’s personal conduct policy, which now will carry consequences.” He’s facing a multi-week suspension.]
