Cliff Harris is a beloved knucklehead around the sports blogosphere. Harris, 24, played football at Oregon from 2009 to 2011 before being dismissed from the team following a marijuana citation. If you don’t recall Harris, don’t worry, he wasn’t on a short leash at Oregon. Harris racked up at least a dozen citations in his time at school and was even noted for having over $8,000 in unpaid fines at one point. He was even caught doing 118mph in a rental car paid for by an Oregon employee.

Harris went undrafted and never actually played in the NFL, but now he’s back in the news for one of the more head-scratching charges you’ll ever hear. According to the Fresno Bee, Harris has plead guilty to arson for setting fire to a grassy street median in Fresno, California back in April. His arson arrest came about an hour after Harris was cited by police for possession of marijuana and a smoking device. Harris could face up to a year in jail.
