Colin Cowherd, Greg Cosell, and Jaws Provide Bulletin Board Material for Aaron Rodgers

Greg Cosell was a guest on Colin Cowherd’s show today, and Ron Jaworski went on PTI. Cosell and Jaws both cited film study to say that Aaron Rodgers has been struggling of late, which of course is true, even within the context that the offensive line has been collapsing around him on what feels like every play, while receivers aren’t gaining separation. Cosell said that Rodgers is “part of the problem” for the Packers, while Jaws revealed (as noted by friend of TBL Will Brinson) that he’s dropped Rodgers out of the top spot on his coveted quarterback big board.

The good news for Rodgers and the Packers is that this two-game stretch came in the middle of the regular season. The better news is that Rodgers has historically tended to come out firing when the knives are out. Lamentably, he no longer does his weekly radio show with ESPN’s Jason Wilde. If that program had continued, this week would have been the sequel to R-E-L-A-X. In any event, the Packers fan in me sees these struggles as correctable. Vegas still has Green Bay as the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl (behind New England), and that’s more than enough reason to confirm my optimism going forward.
