Florida, the 8th-ranked team in the nation, needed overtime to beat a 2-win Florida Atlantic team at home on Saturday. Still, a win is a win. Especially when it’s your 10th win of the season. Jim McElwain has coached the Florida Gators to a double-digit win total in his first season. It’s only the second time they’ve hit that mark since Urban Meyer left. Still, win totals aside, the Gators reminded McElwain of dead fish on Saturday. Via Scout:

"“When you guys go to like a seafood market or the grocery store, you see all those dead fish on ice? That’s the energy they’re playing with right now,” McElwain said. “How excited are you to hang out with that dead fish? I’m just telling you. Go to the dead fish aisle and look at the fish’s eyes. That’s what bothers me.”"

Yes, go to the dead fish aisle and look in the dead fish’s eyes. Do that now. While you’re there, think about what McElwain would have said if Florida lost.
