Oklahoma's Dimitri Flowers Was Penalized 15 Yards for Vigorous Clapping
By Kyle Koster
Oklahoma’s opening touchdown drive was aided by a controversial pass interference penalty. The officials evened things out later in the quarter by giving Sooners fullback Dimitri Flowers a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for clapping after a shoving match with Clemson’s T.J. Green.
Can’t have that. If we allow vigorous clapping into the game, what’s next? Jazz hands? Kudos to the officiating crew for not opening things up for a slippery slope.
