Jimmer Fredette’s time in the NBA Developmental League has been delightfully productive. Jimmer is averaging 23.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 13 D-League games. He’s shooting 49.8% from the field, 47% from 3 and 90% from the free throw line. Quite frankly, it’s exhilarating and probably the best story in all of sports right now. The cherry on top of the scoring sundae was this vicious slam dunk against the Delaware 87ers on Saturday. Sure, it was a dunk that my mother deemed “not a dunk,” but it was still pretty great.
