Roger Clemens Invokes Roy Halladay Amphetamine Allegation

On Wednesday, former Blue Jays and Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay had this to say:
When you use PEDs you admit your not good enough to compete fairly! Our nations past time should have higher standards! No Clemens no Bonds!
— Roy Halladay (@RoyHalladay) January 6, 2016
Clemens fired back:

These appear to be new allegations, as a news story about them occurring previously is not readily available. As Craig Calcaterra of Hardball Talk points out, the “strength coach” in question is presumably Brian McNamee, which is a peculiar sourcing decision given that Clemens spent seven years in court after saying McNamee manufactured his own PED accusations.
(The nuances of whether neither, both, or one of amphetamines and steroids should be considered cheating and/or grounds for not being selected for the Hall of Fame can be debated some other time.)
