John Scott tells Bob McCown he might wear - if allowed by NHL - a St. John's IceCaps jersey at NHL all-star game. "That's who I'm with now."

John Scott, the Carrie White of professional hockey, will captain the Pacific Division on NHL All-Star weekend after some debate and confusion. Scott, a 33-year old enforcer who has spent most of the season in the AHL, was traded last week from the Phoenix Coyotes to the Montreal Canadiens. Now Scott wants to wear a St. John’s IceCaps jersey in the All-Star game because that is the team he actually plays for in the AHL. As opposed to either of the NHL teams he has briefly been affiliated with this year.

Hopefully next year the NHL wakes up and fixes their All-Star voting. NHL All-Star voting should be open to all AHL players. As well any amateur player whose team has a hilarious pop-culture-inspired name.
