Joseph Randle was arrested yesterday on an outstanding speeding warrant after he was “turned away” from an ex-girlfriend’s house at 3am and residents called the police. If you’re trying to keep track of Randle’s run-ins with the law, it’s not easy, but here’s an attempt at recapping his meteoric fall over the last 18 months.

Randle was first arrested for shoplifting in October 2014. In February 2015 he was arrested for marijuana possession after a domestic violence call. Randle then started the season as the Cowboys running back before being demoted. He in turn went AWOL and was eventually cut. In November he was arrested after an incident at a casino. And now? No we have sports betting rumors. Via SportsDay / DallasNews.com:

"On Nov. 3, a combination of issues led the Cowboys to release Randle. In addition to showing signs of mental instability, he had been involved in placing wagers on sporting events during the 2015 season, sources said. “All of that became apparent to us right during the season,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said last week from a Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Ala. “Not before the season. It became real acute, a combination of things. Some issues … became more apparent.”"

I guess it’s good that someone’s issues became “more apparent” to the Cowboys this season. Now, it appears that Joseph Randle’s time in the NFL is over at just 24 years old.
