The Cleveland Browns can’t release Johnny Manziel until March but it appears the organization is done with the troubled quarterback. Browns EVP of operations Sashi Brown released the following statement in response to Manziel’s alleged involvement in an altercation with his girlfriend over the weekend.

"“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization. His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”"

ESPN is also reporting the Browns will release Manziel once the league year begins on March 9.

Never a dull moment.
