Danny Welbeck scored a goal on the last touch of extra time as Arsenal defeated Leicester City, 2-1, in London. The win moves the Gunners into second place in the Premier League, two back of Leicester.
The dramatic three-point swing was made possible by a foolish challenge from Marcin Wasilewski seconds before the four minutes of add time expired.
Arsenal is now the betting favorite to win the EPL while Leicester’s quest to become the most improbable league champion in sports history becomes much more difficult. Then again, at 2,500-1 odds, no one said it’d be easy.
