Chris was the only Jeopardy! contestant in positive figures when an answer about Jesse Owens’ college attendance appeared. The Olympian was called “the Buckeye Bullet” and the school was identified as a member of the Big Ten. Poor Chris rang in and said “The University of Ohio” so he got some of the words right.

Perhaps he was so focused on saying “The” that he became flustered. God knows Ohio State supporters are proud of that article. Too proud.

I refuse to pile on this guy because appearing on Jeopardy! is extremely difficult. There are lots of lights and sounds and makeup. Sometimes the buzzer sticks and you need the prize money for rent. It all gets very confusing. Trust me, I know.

SEC fans will be quick to point out Ohio State is once again riding the conference’s coattails as an LSU student’s  game show gaffe went viral two weeks ago.
