These Two North Carolina Fans Had a Rough Night

Undermanned Duke used a late rally to shock North Carolina, 74-73, in Chapel Hill. The Dean Dome crowd was understandably stunned. These two young fans were particularly affected by the late-game meltdown.
While frozen in a popular pose of defeat, Shooting Sleeve Gal and Face Paint Guy had this awkward interaction at the top of a live SportsCenter after the game. Whatever he said, she wasn’t having any of it.

This is a good example of why a 10-minute silence rule is a good idea after crushing losses. No one should be bothered when they are emotionally vulnerable.
Here’s hoping things are better this morning and that they didn’t have the hassle of an 8 a.m. class to compound the pain.
