Copa America Centenario 2016 Group Draw

Copa America Centenario begins in June. Six CONCACAF teams join 10 CONMEBOL teams for the 16-team tournament, hosted by the United States. Here are the groups with the teams’ present FIFA rankings.
Group A

This is a tough draw for the U.S. Colombia is one of the world’s best teams. Costa Rica is a tough competitor. Paraguay was the toughest draw in Pot 4. There are no easy matches.
Group B
Brazil (6)

Peru (43)
Brazil gets a soft draw here. Their highest ranked opponent is Ecuador. Brazil is 25-2-3. Both Brazil losses were at Ecuador in altitude during World Cup qualifying. If Colombia wins the group, that’s also a relatively soft draw to the semifinal as well.

Uruguay (11)
Jamaica (51)
Venezuela (81)
Mexico gets a tough opponent Uruguay, but should be a heavy favorite to advance to the next round.
Group D
