Joe Johnson appears to be taking his talents to South Beach. Shams Charania of Yahoo’s Vertical has the commitment news, while ESPN’s Chris Broussard noted earlier that the Heat were the “frontrunners” to land the waived Nets guard. Johnson is 34 years old and has been averaging 11.8 points per game and hitting 37.1% of his three-pointers this season. It will be interesting to see how he fits in with Miami, who are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference with a 32-25 record.
