Terrell Suggs Arrested in Arizona For Suspended License After Minor Car Accident

Terrell Suggs was arrested early this morning at a bar in Scottsdale, according to TMZ. Details of the incident are scarce as of this moment, but he was reportedly “booked at 2:03 AM — and released on citation at 3:21 AM.”

Suggs, who is 33 years old, tore his Achilles in September and missed most of the Ravens season. At the time, he was reportedly not considering retirement.

[UPDATE: The Ravens just released this statement. “Terrell made us aware of the situation and we are looking into it,” stated Ravens Senior Vice President of Public & Community Relations Kevin Byrne.]

[UPDATE II: TMZ reports that Suggs got into a ‘minor’ accident, and police were called. When they caught up with Suggs – at a Mexican restaurant – they found out his license was suspended for speeding tickets.]

UPDATE IV: Scottsdale public information officer Ben Hoster sends the following report to TBL: “At 0120 hours, the Scottsdale Police Department received a call of a sound of a collision in the area of Hayden and Thompson Peak.  Officers responded and found evidence of a collision in the nearby median.  Officers followed a fluid trail that led to the Fry’s Grocery store parking lot at 20427 N Hayden. A white BMW 750Li, registered to Terrell Suggs, was found in the parking lot with fresh damage.  Terrell Suggs (33 yrs) was also contacted in the parking lot and he was interviewed by patrol officers.  The investigation revealed that Suggs was not impaired and he stated that he possibly fell asleep before the collision.  It was also determined that Suggs had a suspended driver’s license.  Suggs was arrested at 0203 hours and he was taken to the Scottsdale City Jail for processing.  He was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended driver’s license.  He was later released from the jail.”
