Bracketology, March 10th: Connecticut Needs to Win Tomorrow, Syracuse Out

We’ve seen the bubble get shaken up. Right now, it centers on the American Conference, where Connecticut is in a must-win game, Tulsa needs a couple of wins to be safe, Temple could use one more big win, and Houston is lurking as the #2 seed.

I’ve got Syracuse out. St. Mary’s and Wichita State are both in the Dayton games, with two of those American teams. Syracuse is just out. If chaos happens in the American, where Tulsa, Temple and Connecticut lose early, they could jump back.

The bubble is shallow at one end, but there are teams on the 9-seed line that I feel are not locks if they take a bad loss. Pitt and Oregon State are in. Providence is likely in. USC should survive. The A-10 teams can’t afford bad losses to feel safe.
