Diego Costa’s reputation as a dirty player is well-established. And it won’t help curry any favor in the court of opinion in the great “did he or did he not bite Gareth Barry’s neck” debate that’s sure to erupt.

Costa was sent away with a red card in Chelsea’s match against Everton after he got in Barry’s face. Video shows there was a definitely headbutt. It also appears Costa took a nibble out of his opponent’s neck.

Barry didn’t react as if he’d been bitten, so it’s possible it was more of a rough kiss. Either way, something you don’t see every day.
