Petition for Vince McMahon to Have Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Call WrestleMania Match #JRandKingForWM32

WrestleMania 32 is coming up in a few weeks in Dallas, and the card has mostly taken shape. Whether or not it is the official main event of the evening, the marquee match generating the most buzz is one between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker. The stakes are for purported control of the company.

Given that this match elicits memories of the halcyon days of the Attitude Era, what better way to fortify that nostalgia than putting Jim Ross and Jerry “the King” Lawler on the call? Consequently, I’ve started a White House petition to see if President Obama can help us out:

If you also feel strongly that this should happen, please go sign the petition, and tweet (politely!) at WWE and Vince McMahon, using the hashtag #JRandKingForWM32, asking for it. (In all likelihood the petition will be deleted by the end of the day, but please tweet the hashtag regardless.)

Last August, I asked JR if he would ever entertain the possibility of participating in special events for WWE. Though he noted there’s been no dialog of it, he said that “in a perfect world, if I was going to do something like that, it probably would be only at WrestleMania.”

There may or may not be a great chance at this happening, but wouldn’t it be swell? Let’s do our part.
