Gov. John Kasich proved he has more range than Bernie Sanders Tuesday night by stepping out near the three-point line and knocking down a jumper.

Sure, it was only one shot and it took several seconds of deep knee-bending to get the ball in the air, but I don’t really want to be in the business of mocking a 63-year-old playing basketball.

We don’t really know if Kasich has the same methodical accuracy as Sanders. We do know that the ability to convert a long shot can only help him in his quest for the Republican nomination because, well, that’s what it’ll take.
