Buddy Hield’s mother left her seat to pray during the second half. Coincidence or nah, her son carried an Oklahoma team with 29 points in the half (and 36 total for the game), including 21 of the team’s last 25 points. VCU made the game a lot closer than it could have been, but Oklahoma was able to hold them off for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen.
