Legendary sportswriter Dave Kindred joins the podcast this week. Kindred is covering The Masters for Golf Digest this week; he’s worked the tournament every year since 1967 (as we discussed, the lone exception was when he missed Jack Nicklaus’s iconic performance in 1986 for his son’s wedding). We went over his top memories, thoughts on whether Tiger Woods is definitively finished, and got his insights on the new crop of golfers including Jordan Spieth, who Kindred is very high on.

Kindred has written for the Louisville Courier-Journal, Washington Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, National Sports Daily, Sporting News, and Sports on Earth. He’s the author of several books, including a dual biography of Howard Cosell and Muhammad Ali entitled Sound and Fury.
