Shawn Thornton Apparently Doesn't Know Ryan Strome

The New York Islanders beat the Florida Panthers, 5-4, in game 1 of their first round playoff series on Thursday. Ryan Strome, a 22-year old in his third season, had an assist and what turned out to be the game-winning goal.

Still, he has yet to make enough of a name for himself that Shawn Thornton knows who he is. During a scuffle, Thornton turned Strome so he could read the back of his sweater. Strome was not impressed.

Fun fact: Strome has 96 points in his three-year career – just two less than Thornton has in 13 seasons.
