Cart Rage: Man Runs Over Another Man With a Golf Cart

Golf can get pretty heated sometimes, even if there is no money on the line. If you play enough golf, you know you’ll run into “that guy” who is a stickler for the rules even if you’re out there with your buddies just drinking and hacking it around the course.

Richard Ponds, a 57 year old Denver resident, took it too far while out on Wellshire Golf Course.

"Via The Denver Post: The victim told police he got into an argument with Ponds because Ponds was sitting in a cart in the middle of the course despite being done golfing, according to an arrest warrant. The victim told police that Ponds then drove the cart “full speed” at him. When he realized Ponds was not going to stop, the victim said he tried to dive out of the way but was too late."

I mean good God man, who would run someone over with a golf cart over GOLF?!

According to the report, Ponds kept driving towards the parking lot. No news on whether or not he drove the cart home or just left in his car, but the victim left the course with bruised ribs and stitches on his forehead.

Remember folks, golf is JUST A GAME! If you are unhappy with your score, you have only yourself to blame.
