VIDEO: Mike Napoli Has Perfected the Face-First Slide

Mike Napoli was not blessed with great speed but he makes up for it with savvy base running and trick slides. Tuesday night, the slugger broke out the one where he slams his face into the dirt while diving into third base legging out a triple. And it’s a good thing he did because there was no play at the bag.

It was only the 10th triple of Napoli’s career. He actually stole a base in the game as well, the 34th of his career. Baseball is weird.
