VIDEO: Yadier Molina Heroically Catches Ball That Bounced Off Two Teammates

The Washington Nationals beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 2-1, on Thursday. With the game tied at 1 in the bottom of the 7th, Stephen Drew hit an infield pop fly. Pitcher Mike Leake and shortstop Aledmys Diaz both assumed the ball was their own and they collided as the ball bounced back into the air and landed safely in the glove of catcher Yadier Molina.

There are many lessons to be learned in this single play. The  most important one being – never try. If you just let the ball drop or let someone else catch it, you won’t end up looking like a fool in a picture like this one.
