Ned Yost Thinks He Would be Freaking Awesome on Twitter

Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost doesn’t have a Twitter account but, hoo boy, if he did? Man, it would be all the fire emojis, Yost said Sunday.

Yost would certainly not be the typical Twitter user, which is to say a youngish (but not that young) progressive who lives in a major metropolitan area, reads a lot of news and is, let’s face it, most likely a member of the media in some way or another.

But based on his take on bees alone, I suspect he’s right.

"All you have to do is get some smoke. … Trust me, I’m from the country. I live in the country. You take some smoke out there because the queen is in there somewhere, and you get a Shop-Vac and suck ’em all in and take ’em out to the parking lot and let them go. … They’re just honey bees, man. There’s a decline in honey bees. We need ’em."
