Paige Spiranac took a lot of heat after getting an invite to play in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters and then she took even more heat after she was placed on the front of Golf Digest’s “Futurists” issue over actual LPGA star Lydia Ko. Now though, Spiranac can add professional winner to her resume. Spiranac, won a Cactus Tour event at Orange Tree CC in Scottsdale, Arizona. Spiranac who shot 71-74-68, beat the top ranked amateur in the world, Hannah O’Sullivan, in a one-hole playoff.

No, it wasn’t an LPGA Tour event, but it was a win and a step in the right direction for the aspiring LPGA Tour hopeful.
