Corey Robinson, son of former NBA star David Robinson, is ending his Notre Dame football career, after suffering three diagnosed concussions within the last year.

"“After much contemplation and prayer, I have decided not to continue playing football due to multiple concussions,” Robinson said in a statement. “I couldn’t have come to this difficult personal decision without the incredible support from so many within the Notre Dame football program.”"

While Robinson had his moments on the football field, he was elected Notre Dame’s student body president for next year and has some solid ukulele skills. He should be well placed to succeed off it.

Losing the senior is a bit of a blow for Notre Dame. Robinson caught 16 balls for 200 yards and a touchdown as a junior last year. But, he may have been in line for a bigger role with four of Notre Dame’s top five receivers from last year departing.
