Jerry has been suspended indefinitely by WWE after getting arrested for domestic violence on Thursday, the company has announced on its site. Lawler, who is 66 years old, and his fiancee, Lauryn McBride, 27, were both arrested in the incident.

Memphis’s Fox 13 describes the police report:

"McBride told police Lawler held her on the kitchen counter and struck her on the front left side of her head and pushed her against the stove. She then said Lawler went upstairs to retrieve a handgun and placed it on the kitchen counter and told her to “go ahead and kill herself.” When police talked to Lawler, he told them the two were engaged in an argument because McBride was lying about where she had been. He also told police McBride scratched him in the face, threw a candle at him and kicked him in the groin. Lawler told officers McBride brought the handgun out of the garage and placed it on the counter. He also told officers McBride was intoxicated and he was attempting to stop her from getting inside her vehicle and leaving the home."

As of right now, this is obviously very tangled. However, if the justice system deems McBride’s side of the story to be more accurate than Lawler’s – or even accurate at all – it would seem to be highly unlikely that Lawler keeps his job as a color commentator with WWE.
