Denzel Valentine was phenomenal during his senior year at Michigan State but there were questions about his fit at the next level. The Chicago Bulls clearly had no worries about that, as they grabbed him with the 14th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Valentine is a 6-foot-5, 220-pounder who can handle the ball like a point guard and shoot it like an off-guard. With Derrick Rose now plying his trade for the New York Knicks, the Bulls could opt to have Valentine take over running their offense.

The 2016 AP Player of the Year and 2016 Big Ten Player of the Year, Valentine averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game. He also shit 44.4 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

The Bulls got a guy who is just a really good basketball player. He may not be a guy with a super high ceiling, but the 22-year-old will step on an NBA floor ready to contribute.
