Hal Robson-Kanu just surpassed Tom Jones and the most popular man in Wales. Probably.

Wales is trying to continue its unlikely run through Euro 2016 and is currently going toe-to-toe with one of the world’s best teams. Well, chalk one up for the underdogs, as the Welsh just took a 2-1 lead in the 55th minute of their quarterfinal matchup.

Robson-Kanu found himself surrounded in the box, but made a slick move to work his way open and expertly placed a shot past Belgium keeper Thibaut Courtois.

What a huge moment for Robson-Kanu, a man who currently doesn’t have a club team. Reading, a team that barely survived relegation from England’s second-tier league decided it didn’t want him anymore. Now he’s on the verge of being a national hero.
