Kobe Bryant Had to Get Slimed to Remind J.R. Smith of His Greatness

Kobe Bryant’s retirement tour somehow continued this week with stops at the ESPYs and Kids Choice Awards where he was given awards at both shows. Bryant accepted the Icon Award and Legends Award, a year after Derek Jeter accepted the same exact awards at the end of his retirement tour. If only Tiger Woods would agree to this so we could forget all about the last couple years.

Anyway, the retirement tour is a chance for people to remember that they at least liked the guy at some point and for J.R. Smith, watching Kobe get covered with golden slime was enough for J.R. Smith to want to honor the “Greatest Laker Ever.”
