The Olympic Flame is in Brazil where it is making its final stops before the Opening Ceremony on August 5th. The Flame was about to be passed in Joinville in Southern Brazil on Wednesday night when a man ran out of the crowd with a fire extinguisher and sprayed the runner and torch, but the flame persevered as the Olympic spirit dictates.

Security then tackled the man as he continued to fire the fire extinguisher which made for some funny imagery. While it’s a relief that the torch was not extinguished, we can assume Brazil had some sort of contingency plan in place.
