Arian Foster was one of the last big-name NFL free agents available and he has finally found a home. The 29-year-old running back has agreed to a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.

Foster is a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro but missed all but four games of the 2015 season thanks to a ruptured Achilles tendon. During his seven-year career, all spent with the Houston Texans, Foster has rushed for 6,472 yards and 54 touchdowns while averaging 4.5 yards per carry. When healthy he has been one of the NFL’s most prolific ball-carriers.

While Jay Ajayi will likely be atop the depth chart heading into training camp, the Dolphins surely didn’t bring a guy like Foster in to be a content backup. He’ll challenge for the starting job if he can prove he’s healthy. Third-round pick Kenyan Drake will likely also be in the mix for carries, but we’d bet Foster believes he can and will start when the season opens.
