Eugenie Bouchard: Taylor Swift "Overreacted" and "Tried to Get Attention" in Kanye/Kim Kerfuffle

Eugenie Bouchard was speaking to media at the Citi Open on Tuesday. One enterprising reporter asked the 41st-ranked women’s tennis player about the beef between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. Bouchard had read about the topic and was prepared to share her analysis.

“I love Taylor Swift and I went to her concert and I love her songs and everything, but I feel like sometimes she portrays herself as the victim a lot,” Bouchard said around the 6-minute mark (h/t TMZ). “And she did this time around. She said that she wasn’t aware of that specific line, like b-i-t-c-h, but she heard the other line about having sex. So I was like, ‘Really, what’s the huge difference?'”

“You approved the thing where Kanye says he’ll have sex with you, but you didn’t hear the time he said bitch,” Bouchard continued. “Come on. It’s all the same thing to me, so I think she just way overreacted. I think she just tried to get attention by saying she didn’t approve of that, but it’s the celeb world and it’s just entertaining.”

Bouchard is treading dangerously toward subject-of-Swift-song territory.
