Ezekiel Elliott was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 4th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. As a position player expected to help the Cowboys recover from a 4-12 season, Elliott’s jersey is a very hot commodity. Or maybe it has nothing to do with expectations and people just love buying Cowboys jerseys.

Last season Dez Bryant had the #4 jersey in the NFL and Tony Romo was #12 despite only appearing in 4 games. Dez Bryant and Jason Witten were both in the top 10 the year before. As you can see, Elliott isn’t the first Cowboys player with no NFL playoff success who has sold a lot of jerseys. This is a testament to the unending popularity of the Cowboys. No matter how little they have accomplished on the field over the last two decades, they have remained mindbogglingly popular.
