2011: According to an ESPN reporter, Kevin Durant requested a sit-down with Sam Presti in 2011 to talk about Russell Westbrook. “Durant was telling people that Westbrook was literally the worst teammate he’d ever had, and he didn’t want to play with him anymore.”

This segment on Speak For Yourself Tuesday angered many Oklahoma City basketball fans, including Thunder center Enes Kanter.

Here’s more:

2015: Reggie Jackson, the then-OKC backup point guard, was unhappy with his role and Russell Westbrook. Via the Oklahoman:

"Rather famously, Jackson and the Thunder went through a sour break-up last season. He wanted a starting role, to be the star of a team, and that was something OKC couldn’t offer. For months, Jackson was vocal about it both inside and outside the locker room, creating a growing divide within a frustrated team. He’d write ‘SPG’ on his shoes, for starting point guard, even with Westbrook on his team."

Jackson was traded to the Pistons. After their 1st meeting last season, Westbrook had this to say when asked about Jackson:

2016: Serge Ibaka made these comments in March about the Thunder offense.

"“I’m gonna tell you the truth, it’s hard sometimes when you play hard, you play you’re (butt off),” Ibaka swore, before apologizing and rephrasing. “You play so hard on defense, then you come to offense and you’re going to be out there in the corner for 4, 5, 6, sometimes 8 minutes and you don’t touch the ball. We human, man. It’s hard.”"

And now Kevin Durant has left one of the best players in the NBA to go play with one of the best teams in the NBA.
