Kassidy Cook, America’s new favorite diving sweetheart, failed to make the finals of the three-meter springboard competition at the 2016 Olympics on Saturday. Cook, whose bubbly personality and dancing between dives endeared her to viewers, missed out on qualifying for the final round by just 3.90 points.

Cook’s second dive wound up producing a large splash and she posted a score of just 41.85. She didn’t recover, and finished in 13th place with a score of 304.35 points. Only the top 12 qualifiers advance to the finals. Fellow American Abby Johnston finished fifth and has a great shot at a medal.

The 21-year-old Cook will now head back to Stanford where she’ll join a loaded swimming and diving team that includes 100-meter freestyle gold medalist Simone Manuel and the most dominant female athlete in the world, Katie Ledecky. So yeah, that team should be pretty solid next year.

Cook’s Instagram account has gained a lot of attention in Rio as well, as she’s posted some great behind the scenes photos.
