Tennessee Escaped In Overtime Against Appalachian State

Tennessee survived, barely. Appalachian State missed an extra point on their second touchdown. The Mountaineers missed a go ahead field goal in the fourth quarter and managed the clock horrifically during the final drive. Josh Dobbs fumbled into the end zone to Jalen Hurd for the touchdown. 20-13 is the final.
The Vols are 1-0. Though the narrow win will have many reevaluating Tennessee’s prospects in the SEC and Butch Jones’ staying power.
