The New York Mets are about 700 games into their thousand game season so the SNY broadcast crew is stuck trying to kill time during games like Monday’s 8-1 loss to the Washington Nationals. During the 7th inning of what would be a 3-hour and 8-minute game, Keith Hernandez “broke” a camera with a highlighter. The visual and sound effects sent Hernandez and Gary Cohen into hysterics.

The Mets currently sit in the second NL wild card spot, a half-game ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals. Even a close playoff race doesn’t help some nights.
