Jay Cutler Reveals One of the Keys to Playing Quarterback in the NFL

Jay Cutler hurt the thumb on his throwing hand during the Bears’ loss to the Eagles on Monday Night Football. Cutler had a cast on his thumb after the game and will have x-rays taken on Tuesday. During the postgame press conference, Cutler confirmed two facts. First, that he’s concerned about his injury. Second, that quarterbacks need thumbs. Via ESPN:

"“I’m concerned,” he said. “As a quarterback, you need your right thumb.”"

In case you were wondering, Carson Wentz has a real beaut of a right thumb. Just look at that thing. I reckon you can really grip a football with a thumb like that.
