Jose Bautista has a reputation for watching his home runs sail out of the park. The Toronto Blue Jays outfielder got in trouble last year when he did just that in a huge moment against the Texas Rangers. They were so angry the hangover from it caused a brawl this year.

On Wednesday afternoon, Bautista launched an epic, game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning against the Seattle Mariners. He admired his work and threw in a bat flip as well:

Somewhere Goose Gossage is flipping out right now, and Rougned Odor started rubbing his knuckles.

Honestly, I have no problem with a guy watching a home run leave the yard. What’s the point of playing if you can’t enjoy your work? As long as guys don’t point at the pitcher or call him out in any way, I’m totally fine with this.

Still, next time the Blue Jays play the Rangers I’m fairly certain they’ll have been so offended by this they’ll throw at Joey Bats again.
